Discussion:
how to contribute

I just sent a patch to the list, and from having read a few months worth
of archived email from this list, I think I got everything right, but
other than writing, testing and emailing the patch to this list, is
there anything else I should do to get this rolled into the kernel?

Also, if there's a FAQ for how to contribute (I looked but didn't find
anything specific to this project), or if there was any problem with the
patch I posted, I'd be most grateful if one of you more experienced
people could point it out. Thanks!

Ed

Provided you have followed the instructions in
Documentation/SubmittingPatches, the best approach is to make sure your
email was addressed to the person maintaining the subsystem or driver
in question (as well as to the appropriate mailing list, of course),
and to nudge that person from time to time if he appears to have
forgotten about you.
