PL2501 USB Host to Host

Hi,

has someone build up succesfully a connection between a linux pc and a windows pc with the Prolific 2501 Host to Host Bridge? I use it in Network mode but i can only establish a connection when both computer are using the same OS (i.e. windows and windows or linux and linux). I tried all other configurations of this chip (2303 compatible mode and 2502 mode) but it does not work. Has someone an idea why it does not work ?
Has someone used succesfully the 2502 mode ?

Can you provide debug information??
The output of dmesg for example. Also check if you have DEBUG messages
enabled for usb...

There are no error messages or something else. The connection is not established. On the windows pc it always says that net wetwork cable is not inserted when the other side is plugged in a linux pc.
On both pc the device is detected succesfully and the right driver is loaded.
